About the event

The panel discussion on "Women in Engineering" at the  OCEANS 2024 Singapore conference, will explore the theme of "Women's Impact on Emerging Technologies: Shaping the Future" through the lens of women's contributions and experiences. This discussion will highlight the pivotal role of women in shaping and advancing emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy etc. Topics will include highlighting impactful research and development projects led by women, discussing essential skill sets for success in emerging technology fields, addressing the gender gap, promoting diversity and inclusion, and exploring future trends and opportunities. By showcasing successful women-led initiatives and projects, the panel aims to inspire and empower women to pursue and excel in emerging technology careers while advocating for gender equity and inclusivity in the engineering industry.
