Open Ocean Robotics is excited to be one of the eight Vancouver Island-based organizations selected to receive funding from the federal government, through the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada (PacifiCan). As part of a $3.5 million investment to advance innovation and attract visitors to the region, Open Ocean Robotics will receive $800,000 from PacifiCan’s Business Scale-up and Productivity program.
This funding will help us scale up production of our solar-powered, autonomous Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs), which provide real-time ocean data and help researchers monitor marine environments more safely and affordably. As a leader in ocean technology, we are proud to contribute to the growing marine solutions hub on Vancouver Island and support sustainable environmental stewardship.
