About the event

Open Ocean Robotics is excited to attend OCEANS 2025 Great Lakes, taking place at Chicago’s Navy Pier this fall. Representing our team will be CEO Julie Angus, CTO Dr. Fritz Stahr, and Marine Operations Lead Madie Bouvier-Brown, who will be engaging with ocean and freshwater professionals from around the world. This conference is known for bringing together cutting-edge science, engineering, and technology to tackle pressing marine and aquatic challenges—and we’re proud to be part of it once again.

At this year’s event, we’ll be highlighting how our DataXplorer™ USVs support a wide range of missions, with a focus on environmental monitoring and sustainable marine operations in sensitive and dynamic freshwater regions like the Great Lakes. From port traffic monitoring and hydrographic surveys to MRV for marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR), our solar-powered USVs provide long-duration data collection with zero emissions and no crew risk. We’ll also be showcasing our XplorerView™…
