Open Ocean Robotics will be attending the ABCMI & COAST Defence & Security Innovation Forum, taking place April 21 to 22. This event brings together leaders from across defence, security, ocean technology, and research to explore innovation and collaboration in advancing Canada’s ocean sector. Representing Open Ocean Robotics will be CEO Julie Angus, who will be engaging with attendees throughout the forum.
As part of the event, Julie Angus will be speaking on Panel 4, Advancing along the TRL progression spectrum, on April 21 at 2pm. This discussion will explore how companies are progressing along the Technology Readiness Level timeline, including the practical steps required to move from concept to operational deployment. The panel will highlight real world examples of TRL advancement, identify key gaps in the ecosystem, and examine how collaboration and support structures enable innovation to scale effectively within defence and security environments.
