Jan 4, 2022

Open Ocean Robotics is working with the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) to develop innovative technologies aimed at preventing collisions with marine mammals.

Open Ocean Robotics is proud to be featured in a Canada.ca article highlighting our collaboration with the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) to develop advanced technologies designed to help the RCN avoid marine mammal collisions. Our autonomous uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs) are part of a larger initiative to enhance ocean monitoring and conservation efforts.

The project leverages cutting-edge sensors and data collection capabilities to detect marine mammals in real time, ensuring that naval operations can coexist with marine wildlife in a safer and more sustainable manner. This collaboration showcases our commitment to innovation and the protection of the ocean’s biodiversity.
